Triarch Stalker

Slowly but surely, I’m working on completing my Necron backlog. The Triarch Stalker is finished, and fully magnetised (thank you Nick Beer!)

Night Shroud Bomber

I’ve decided that I’m done with my Night Shroud Bomber. It’s not quite as nicely done as I would have liked, but I am now at the stage where if I retouch a bit I manage to mess up another one even more. I don’t intend to use it until late Spring anyway, so might complete the retouching then.

Canoptek Tomb Sentinels

So it's been a while. Not much time for hobby, and too many things only half completed. But hey, today I managed to finish the 2 Tomb Sentinels I got back in November. The green resin crystals come from Anarchy Models.

Stencil Kickstarter

Brian Best from Anarchy Models launched a Kickstarter today. It's already funded, 29 more days to go to get more goodies. It's all about high quality stencils to be used with an airbrush (or a sponge, that works too). Brian is a super nice guy and has some nice how-tos on the page, go take a look…

Below are a few pics I've stolen from his page, there are 10 designs at the moment, and more to come as stretch goals.

A couple of game pics

6th edition 40k is quite a dynamic game. Six Eldar snippers were holed up at the top of the bastion. A single Wraith entered the building and assaulted them. Seeing three of their friends being butchered was too much for the survivors, who decided to jump for it. Alas, they all broke their necks…

And here's something coming out of the woods that has these Eldar Guardians very worried indeed…

40k turn counter

I got inspired by Gale Force 9's Sci-Fi turn counter, which is very nice, and built my own out of plasticard. I used 2mm thick plasticard, and two 3 x 2 mm magnets. This PDF has the templates and quick instructions - in essence glue the templates to the plasticard using weak glue (I used a stick of paper glue), cut to size, remove templates, then stick the faces to the plasticard with stronger glue (I used PVA glue). I also laminated the faces before glueing them.

Here is the result:

Tape measure FTW!

I ordered a bit of hobby stuff from the Alan Wadkins Tool Store recently (more on this later). The order got delayed unfortunately, but I found them to be charming folks, who kept me updated regularly. When I finally received the parcel I found they'd added a free t-shirt and the awesome tape measure below. Yes, the two circles on the bottom of the tape itself are magnets, people. And with 5 meters of tape, there won't be any more problems measuring during the Apocalypse games. Look how puny the GW tape measure is next to it.

With a tape measure like this, I cannot lose! Bwah ah ah!

Alan Wadkins Tool Store - a good tool store, and good people.
